Take Two.

Last night as I was laying in bed I received this text from my beautiful sister, Jojo. You can imagine from my last blog how big of a deal this was to me. I am huge when it comes to words of affirmation and the fact that she verbalized (textalized) it, it meant something special to me. I love my sister!

For the record wedding planning isn't any easier but I am trying to just take it easy with my emotions, and just figure out whats more important to me when it comes to what we spend our money on for this shin-dig. On the upside Drew and I should be getting a preview of our engagement picture probably tomorrow! All thanks and kudos goes to  Andrew Jade Photography.

By the way, for you who don't know me directly, this is the incredible Drewsph! Whom I'm going to miss when he goes on his men's backpacking trip to "Narnia" in the mountains. Anyway, this photograph is from when we were in Flagstaff, Arizona at the ACORN DROP. This year was our second year but with a different, larger group of friends! It was snowy, cold, and it was just a complete different culture than Phoenix. Our dearest friend, Lauren, said "I love Arizona because its diverse (weather)." I couldn't agree more, thats why it wasn't horrible for me to move from Illinois. Of course weather isn't everything but I had an easier adjustment moving here than I would if I moved to Idaho, or something.

Last 2 notes of the day, I had a very fun time last night hanging out with friends, doing all my favorite things; rock climbing and burritos ;) and realizing how God answered a prayer.

  • What was my prayer you may ask? Moving to Arizona from Illinois as a homebody was hard. It was easy to find comfort in Drew and naturally make him my family. But there were days and times I wish I had friends, of course I had "friends" but people that actually wanted to hang out with me, not just Drew and I. Although I am not a huge "friend fan" I have been able to actually make new genuine friends here.
  • I have had this opportunity to make a new friend that I really didn't expect for it to follow through. She is my current roommate and will be my roommate in the younglife house that we will be moving into, Co-Ed may I add! I like that the drama we just went through and the drama we may face that we will do it together. I just appreciate new friends, and honest, genuine people.
