Hope & Future

RECAP: It has been a few weeks since I've last blogged. I've been occupied with working, launching a wedding website, sending out save the dates and moving with one of my dearest friend Kaeli into a household of men that love the Lord. We know them all through ministry such as younglife, and church's in the area. I must admit that at first I was thinking "this blows, and I can't wait for this experience to be over." But in reality I have come to realize that I think this will really help my relationship with friends, the men I live with will learn how to respect and care for women, and of course Drew and I will grow closer. Drew actually is the lease holder but due to our beliefs of not wanting to live with eachother before marriage we concluded that he moves out before I move in, still paying his portion of bills. So money is something we are trying not to stress over so we can pay off a wedding fee, and be able to have somewhere to move into  right after we get married.

Drew and I, the happiest we have ever been. Serving.

That was all my introduction and update. But what I really wanted to express is trusting in God, and what hope and future does he have for Drew and I.

I have grown up serving on 15+ mission trips in the country, and out. God has really put the desire of serving in missions on my heart, but I also have a fleshly desire to live the "American Dream." I want the house, the family, the stability of an income, and give still to missions and church. But I know there are goers and senders, and the whole staying here doesn't sit well with Drew and I. We really feel like we will be living a wasted life if we took the easier way in life. (Note, I'm not saying that senders is the easier route, but for me PERSONALLY I know I'd be doing what comes easy to me.)

With God I feel you can have a plan, but he has to be there in the center, and you have to be willing to let things go for his glory, in his will. So whats our plan? I am nannying, and soon to intern-work for a photographer (EYES 2 SEE PHOTOGRAPHY). Hoping that I can make a career out of it, and soon be able to photograph as a missionary, which could possibly result in income if I sold my photos to different organizations, and magazines.
Drew on the other hand is a machinist, and works on a CNC machine, which transfers anywhere after a few years of experience. Currently he is going on 1 year of experience. We do serve in our church's youth, and as "missionaries" through the organization of younglife. It's not that we don't love it, we just know later there will be a different route in life, but we don't know how to get there.

As I sit here in my favorite coffee shop I really just want one thing, I'm just asking for you to pray for us and continually do. We are no where near perfect and we need him completely in our lives full time, and our fleshly nature aside. Also, that God is working in our relationship, and that through all things we are honoring him! Not living for our own flesh, comfortable life, and not taking the easy path.

I know I didn't hit on anything that may have been worth your time, but hopefully I can encourage you to ask yourself;
What is my hope and future?
In what ways am I shutting Christ out?
Or even as personal as; Am I a goer or am I a sender?

A few photographs of our recent missions trip to Ensenada, Mexico. We worked with the organization YWAM, which we speak highly of and hope to perhaps work with one day!

Setting the date

Yesterday, Drew and I took the day off of work, drove 2 hours north into Flagstaff, and made our deposit for our venue(s)! The day we will be man and wife, best friends for life will be JUNE 29TH 2013! It was a great car ride there and we really worked out things in our relationship, and how we want to honor God in the process of getting married. We first went to the arboretum and we loved it! It'll be where we have our ceremony! It was snowy so I didn't get to take pictures but this is what our outdoor's ceremonies' backdrop, and "stage" will be.

Drew and I then went to tranzand, its a yoga studio that rents out their facility for parities, weddings, ect. I was AMAZED how spacious this place was, it may not look big but it was! The Christmas lights will stay, and obviously the snow flakes wont be there, and ill be putting lanterns up! I personally liked the owner, he is very down to earth, so I'd completely recommend him!

After making deposits, that luckily will be refundable we will only be spending 1,125 total for both. It will be coming out of our piggy bank but we are really excited to spend this money for a day with loved ones that can make it on our big day! We finished the trip with Pato Thai Cuisine, which in complete honestly was the best Pad Thai that I have ever had! GO there if you love THAI FOOD! :)

On our way home we stopped at one of the Sunset Points :)

We finished the night off with our youth groups Below the Waterline event, and a lock-in. Which resulted into today sleep deprived with a 5 hour Younglife meeting. But we made it through today, and now we are hanging with his family and family-friends. Drew's nephew, David genuinely thinks Drew's his Dad! :) I love this sight!

"Set a Fire down my soul that I can't contain,
that I can't control. I want more of you God, I want more of you God. There's no place I'd rather be, there's no place I'd rather be than here in your love, here in your love"

Engagment Photographs!

These are Drew and I's engagement photographs. We will be using them on our "Save the Date." Please comment and let us know which one(s) are your favorite so we can consider which picture(s) we should put on our save the date's. Thank you!

He makes me laugh.
Reasons why he makes me laugh.. He's just a goof!

oooh, I have to take pride in that my hair looks great!
I'd like to note that it was hard to be serious in this picture :^)
I love him :)

I love the arch on the side of the church!!
I think he thinks I'm pretty cute..?
I obviously can't be taken seriously with him..
Drew and his pipe! Don't you like his shirt?

Our first picture, "we have no idea what we're doing."
Kisses <-- These photos are similar but different --> Love

Without a doubt I think we'll always flirt, even in 40+ years.
Walking and Talking..
...Just talking..
Crazy about eachother? yes.

Drew thinks he looks like his twin brother in this. What do you think?

Gotta include this pipe! I think Drew looks really handsome in this photo!
Twirling my hair, its harder than it looks, I had to do it over and over again with a smile on my face!
I love everything about this picture.
He is sexy.
Passion. Thats the word I'd like to use to describe this.

Our first "Kissing" picture, was it awkward?
By far one of my favorites, beautiful trees!
Smooches, and cuddles are my favorite two things!
Smooches!
Hmmmmmmmmm :) I like these picture!
"Wanna make out?"
AWE, He is SO CUTE, he's one of a kind!
Awkward piggy-back ride!
